Tevin and Sara plan on arriving into Portugal Friday July 4th.

Closest airport to the wedding is Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS). Also known as the Lisbon Airport.

We recommend using Uber or downloading the local transportation app called Bolt. While you can take Taxis from the airport (and they all should be safe), some drivers will try to scam their customers by charging them way more than they’re supposed to. Many only take cash (Euros) as well. That’s why a pre-determined rate that you can put on your credit card (which you will get with both Uber or Bolt) is the route we suggest taking. Also, depending on the hotel that you’re staying, some offer complimentary airport transport so make sure to ask that first before paying for additional transportation.

No visa is required from the USA. However please make sure your passport expiration date is at least 6 months AFTER you land back in the United States in July.

The wedding venue is in Estoril, the welcome party is near downtown Lisbon. We recommend picking any hotel or Airbnb that suits your needs though! They have ample options in the following areas: ~ Downtown Lisbon (lots of restaurants and things to do) ~ Estoril (close to our wedding venue and the beach, quaint and charming area) ~ Sintra (castles, palaces, gardens, and lots of beautiful scenery in this area -- one of the more popular day-trip destinations but it's the furthest from our events)

Tevin and Sara will be wearing traditional Pakistani clothing. Wear traditional clothing if you have it or wear semi-formal bright American attire. Mendhi will be outdoor with an indoor option if it gets too hot.

We suggest taking Uber or Bolt to Tapada Spot and they will be able to drop you off immediately outside of the venue – do NOT let them drop you off at the gates outside of the venue. The property backs up to a University so some drivers might say they cannot drive past the gates but that is not true. It’s over a mile walk from the gates to the actual location of our welcome event and we don’t want anyone making that trek. Be forceful to the drivers that they can drop you off exactly where the Uber/Bolt location says “Tapada Spot” is at and not early.

Our wedding day dress code is summer formal! Think formal with lighter-weight fabrics and more room to play with colors and fabrics. Ladies, for example, might wear a midi-to-floor length chiffon or other breathable dress in a bolder color or patterns. Gentlemen might wear a classic or linen suit. Some color or pattern in the shirt, suit, or tie is encouraged! Ties optional.

Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoor. Reception will be indoor.

It is summer in July with lows of 60s and high in the 80s (or higher with real-feel). Dry with little to no rain. Dress light!
